Easter Egg Hunt

A FREE community event for local children

ages 10 and under

Rules: 

1. Children will be divided into 3 groups for the Easter egg hunt:  Ages 3 and under (starts at 1:00 p.m.); Ages 4-6 (starts at 1:10 p.m.); and Ages 7-10 (starts at 1:20 p.m.).

2. Parents will NOT be allowed on the field with their children. Exceptions: if your child is in the youngest age group or has a physical handicap that prevents them from participating on their own. Special permission must be obtained from the Optimists for any parent to be on the field.

3. ONE basket/bag allowed per child. Don't be an "EGG HOG!" Leave some eggs on the field for others to find. Bring your eggs to the pavilion.

4. No golden eggs will be hidden this year. All children's names will be entered into a draw to win one of the large prize baskets donated by local businesses.

5. Every child participating receives a bag of Easter candy generously donated by Giant Tiger for their efforts. 

Other Free & Fun Activities:

• Easter Bonnets and Ballcaps Contest for ages 10 and under. Decorate a hat for Easter. 1st, 2nd & 3rd winners in each age group wins a prize. Details

• Easter Colouring Contest for children ages 10 and under. Download the picture to colour here. Children must colour their own picture (no assistance!) with crayons, pencil crayons or markers.  Drop off at 151 High St W, Strathroy by April 10, 2017. One winner will be selected randomly from each age group (0-3, 4-6, 7-10). 

• ​Facepainting

• Visit with the Giant Tiger Mascot. Bring your cameras! 

• The MYFM Cruiser will be reporting live from this event.
